The Alabama Rig is one of the best lures to use in the fall. It's such a good tool to trigger big smallmouth, particularly in the fall because it imitates baifish that the smallies are feeding on. Here in Michigan, the Fall Transition is in full effect, and there are fish in all 3 depths, Deep, on Moderate Depth Transitions, and in the dirt. Using a 1-2 approach with an A-Rig and a dropshot, I was able to target fish moving in and out throughout the day.
