The twins Sam and Ben Hazelton from Sydney, Australia, are shocked when their parents announce that they are all going to emigrate to Europe for four months: in Germany. They spend the summer with their eccentric, aristocratic relatives, the von Hasenburg family, who live in the remote German Schoneburg Castle.
