Video footage of a motorist braking sharply between a 30mph sign and a new 20mph zone on a quiet country road has been ridiculed online as an example of the Welsh government's draconian new speed limit policy. Yesterday, Mark Drakeford's Labour government pushed through with their hugely unpopular enforcement of 20mph zones in all built-up residential areas in the country -ostensibly to save lives and cut costs for the NHS. In protest, numerous new 20mph signs have been painted over or defaced and over a hundred thousand people have signed petitions to scrap the policy.
