It amazes me how the western “watchdog press” NEVER pushes back on the principal argument in favour of US financial and military support — that standing in the breach, Ukraine is the last bulwark against Vladimir Putin’s nefarious plan to invade and occupy the whole of Continental Europe. Tenpercentskyy called Putin “a second Hitler” — a claim that went unchallenged.

But should that premise not be true — that there is no such Russian plan — then the whole argument in favour of US support implodes.
