Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k - Is it a fork?

It just came to my mind after some discussion that the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k might be a part of a fork. A fork means a split in product line. My thought is that the Cinema Camera is the side of the fork going or staying on the path for filmmaking and that there will be a camera that is going the path more for the run n gun jobs.
