Endangered Turtle Rescue

Manitoulin Island has a lot of unique wild animals, and some of them show up on our homestead needing help. Watch as Steve and Jake bring a rare Blanding's turtle back to the lake it wandered away from more than half a mile away. Turtles like this often wander into dangerous areas near roads in summer, as they look for places to lay eggs in sand. This one past many sandy areas on its way to our driveway.
