Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) - Liverpool (1-3)

Szoboszlai Dominik, a magyar válogatott csapatkapitánya ismét kezdőként lépett pályára a Liverpool színeiben, méghozzá abban a stadionban, ahol bő egy éve óriási meglepetésre Marco Rossi együttese 4–0-ra kiütötte a vb-re készülő Eb-döntős angolokat. Nem szép játékkal és sok pontatlansággal, de sikerült megnyerniük a párbajt, aminek köszönhetően vezetik a tabellát.

Ugyan a nemzetközi sajtó döntő többsége haloványnak látta az első félidőben Szoboszlai Dominik teljesítményét, a második félidőben kicsit hátrébb húzódva kiemelkedő játékot mutatott, igazi vezére volt a liverpooli középpályának. Döntő többségben hetes osztályzatokat kapott, amivel a „Vörösök” egyik legjobbja volt a Wolverhampton elleni mérkőzésen.
