Around Town 8/8/17: Capital Area District Libraries
If you want to keep your child busy this summer, maybe you should take them to your local library tomorrow. The Capital Area District Library Haslett and Aurelius branches will host classroom critters Wednesday. Kids can learn how Mother Nature designed animals to fit their lifestyle and habitat. The event at the Aurelius branch starts at 9:30 in the morning, and the Haslett Branch will begin at 1 p.m. Also tomorrow, the Capital Area District Library Mason Branch is hosting a Once Upon a Raptor Event where kids can see and touch different kinds of species of Raptor. That starts at 1 p.m. as well. Finally the Capital Area District Library South Lansing Branch will feature live magic from magician Jeff Wawrzaszek starting at 10 a.m. Kids will also learn their own trick to take home. All of the events mentioned are free. If you have an event you would like to share, send us an email at aroundtown@fox47news.com.
