During what was supposed to be an adult and reasoned debate, Khan directed an appalling insult at fellow assembly member Peter Fortune, branding him "thick." It is concerning that Mayor Khan, who once presented himself as a voice of reason and unity, would resort to such divisive and immature tactics. This incident reveals a disappointing lack of statesmanship and an inability to engage in respectful debate. Londoners deserve better than a Mayor who resorts to personal attacks as a way to defend his floppy and unfair schemes.
