Ken Paxton has been acquitted. He won the impeachment. It is upsetting to the Rove/Bush clan.
Keep in mind all along the UAW strike did not sneak up on the white house. The staff is running the United States of America. The union knows where they can find the EV jobs, right here in GA. Yet the EV transition will take 40% less workers. All the UAW wants is for all those jobs to be union. Kemp and the AJC have been bragging about the battery plants and EV plants knowing that this day wouldn’t come. They are spending billions of dollars retooling these plants.
Battery plants are not unionized. The challenge of the transition, in favor of the green economy, they just want justice. “We are going to use tax dollars to finance the transition.” This is an attack to bring down Tesla. WE have so many deals with China. China is getting ready to dump EVs in this country. Everything is coming into the conversation and every one is concerned about the transition.
They are killing the consumer. They are killing the industry.
Tesla insurance is double. When you are forced into EV your insurance will be more.
On labor day, unions see opportunity in Hyundais EV ambitions in GA. Activists call for community benefit agreements for factories in Savannah, West Point and Montgomery AL. EVs factories are overwhelmingly Nonunion. The UAW strike could change that.
The republican ruling class in GA knew this would happen all along. GA gave tax abatements for the EV factories. The Inflation Reduction Act gave enormous tax breaks for manufacturers to retool factories. The EV industry will receive an estimated $220 billion by 2031 and customers purchasing a vehicle can pocket a tax credit ranging from $3750 to 7,500. Companies are reimbursed 10 % of the cost of producing renewable energy. UAW president Shawn Fain has criticized Biden’s package for not tying public spending to worker protections.
Did Brian Kemp and the republican ruling class know this was going to happen? Is GA going to be the biggest leader in the transition for UAW?
