OUR NOTE: It would do everyone very well to keep an eye on the political theatre that is going down in Maui - all of Hawaii is a Liberal bastion and Maui more so than the other islands. It takes resources to carry off a DEW attack, most of which local jurisdictions do not have - and they are not provided just resources, they are provided mentorship in how to convert an attacked area into a Liberal wet dream: a smart city. There’s growing pushback from the community on when West Maui should reopen to travel.

A petition to delay the Oct. 8 date has received 3,600 signatures in less than 24 hours, as of writing this article.
