"Detoxify Your Digestive System: Natural Ways to Cleanse Your Intestine!"
Cutting down on toxic foods is an important practice to prevent your gut from the damage but what about the damage that is already done?
Many of us face bloating issues primarily because of the unclean intestine. If we have unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle, our bowel movement isn’t entirely effective in cleaning colon. CONSTIPATION is one the biggest problem that we face today.
Some foods stick to your intestine and remain in it for extended period of time. Western toilets add to this by preventing Anal opening during excretion.
These are some yogic practices that helped me
- Drinking water in MALASANA: Increased bowel pressure. Do this daily.
- Abdominal Twisting: ONCE a week, drink luke warm water and do abdominal twisting (Kauva chalanasana) before clearing bowels. Salty water is not absorbed by the body in turn helps in flushing toxins out. AVOID in case of high/low bp or hyper tension/peptic ulcers.
- FAST: Taking break from carbs helps give time to digestive system in cleaning. Include fruit break fast 3 times a week. Try to keep 12-14 hours fast between night and morning meal
- MALSANA for POOPING: Use a stool under your feet to use western toilet if you don’t have Indian toilets at home. This will change your life
- Shankha Prakshalana: This is very helpful kriya in intestine cleaning. This should be done under the observation of a Yoga teacher only. This is the kriya to induce lose motion that clean your intestine completely
Intestine cleansing is for a healthy gut, better digestion and assimilation of food, glowing skin and optimal functioning of organs.
