Jan. 6 rioter convicted and sentenced in secret

While numerous rioters have faced charges, convictions, and sentences for their involvement in the mob attack on the U.S. Capitol, Samuel Lazar’s case appears to have been resolved discreetly.

It has been kept sealed, with no explanation provided, even after his release from prison.

Samuel Lazar, aged 37, hailing from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, was apprehended in July 2021 on allegations that he participated in the events of January 6, 2021, at the Capitol, the Associated Press reported.
