In the Pskov, Kaliningrad and Crimean directions there is increased activity of reconnaissance aircraft of the NATO Air Force.

On the Ilawa-Cesvaine section (150 km from Pskov and 80 km from Kaliningrad), the ARTEMIS long-range electronic and radar reconnaissance aerial platform based on the Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet, equipped with a radar based on an active phased array antenna and passive electronic reconnaissance sensors, is patrolling.

This board presumably carries out reconnaissance of the positions of radar equipment of Russian air defense systems near Pskov and Kaliningrad, as well as the movements of ground military equipment. A similar aircraft operates in the Crimean direction in Romanian airspace.

Also in the Crimean direction there is a P-8A Poseidon aircraft of the US Navy. On the section of the Ploesti-Chernivtsi railway line, a tactical electronic reconnaissance aircraft Beechcraft King Air 350 is patrolling, which can cover the transfer of a large echelon of military equipment to the territory of the western regions of Ukraine.

Also in the Crimea region are the Boeing E-3A Sentry long-range radar detection and control aircraft and the Lockheed EP-3E Orion Aries II electronic reconnaissance aircraft.
