First of all the weapons in many EU countries are much cheaper than the american weapons.
Second, there are many costs in Europe including the impairment in trade, since USA has much more oil reserves than Europe and also USA now sells much more now to Europe so it recuperates the money.
Europe renouncing cheap Russian oil, gas, coal, nuclear fuel... is much more expensive than USA renouncing it since USA has much less trade in these areas with Russia.
4th, the numbers are not real there is a lot of money laundering going on, also said by Trump in some other discourses.
