Street kids - Child labor is a key contributor to a surge in street children

The National Children's Authority, led by Executive Director Martin Kiiza, has expressed grave concern over the increasing number of children living on the streets in the country.
In 2018, a troubling statistic of 2,048,000 children aged 5-17 years were reported to have experienced abuse, and within just three years, this number has risen dramatically to six million.
