When is the best time to buy real estate? The answer is ALWAYS 5 years ago.. No one is able to time the real estate market as to when is the perfect time to buy real estate. If you are renting, the interest rate on your rent is 100%. So throwing money away on rent, to wait to buy may not be the best idea. Real estate always goes up historically. It may dip in crashes or recessions but it always trends upward. Real estate is the absolute best investment that one can make in my opinion. You gain equity by paying your mortgage, everyone needs a place to live and right now demand and the shear numbers of buyers between 38 and 33 years old are driving the market.. Has anyone ever told you that they are so glad that they did not hang onto that piece of property from 20 years ago? Many people make the mistake of not just doing it when they have the opportunity to buy and I was one of them!
