PSALM 18 - ROCK OF AGES

In distress, I called to the sky,
To the Lord, I raised my cry.
From His temple, He did hear,
My voice rang out, the Lord drew near.

Rock of Ages, firm and true,
In all my storms, I turn to you.
Shield and fortress, mighty hand,
With you, Lord, I'll always stand.

Earth did shake, smoke arose,
Yet in His embrace, I found repose.
He reached down, took my hand,
Set me upon the solid land.

With love unending, you light my way,
Turn my night into radiant day.
Enemies rise, but with you, they fall,
For you, O Lord, are above all.

Rock of Ages, firm and true,
In all my storms, I turn to you.
Shield and fortress, mighty hand,
With you, Lord, I'll always stand.

For you've armed me with strength anew,
Your ways are just, your words so true.
Lamp unto my feet, light to my path,
In your embrace, I fear no wrath.

Forever grateful, forever praise,
For in your love, I find my days.
