Dangerous spring high tide causes havoc in its wake

NSRI and other official organisations have reported unusually high waves and destructive weather as a result of spring high tide. At Mangolds Pool Resort, Gqeberha, a number of caravans and structures have been compromised. At Sandy Bay, Three Anchor Bay in the Western Cape, near drownings were reported. In addition, at Bikini Beach in Gordon’s Bay, the high tide breached the road and caused damage to vehicles and other infrastructure.
