Since 2018 activists and local residents have been fighting to stop the construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP). This is a proposed 303 mile pipeline that would transport liquified shale gas from from West Virginia into southern Virginia across the slopes of the Appalachian mountains. The pipeline threatens people homes, drinking water and wetlands.

For years environmental groups have been able through the courts to delay the building of MVP. But recently with the audacity of Democratic Senator of WV Joe Manchin. who takes 3X as much $$$ from the fossil fuel industry. Manchin was able to push through the building of this pipeline by sneaking through the debt ceiling deal. Biden signed the bill. Biden is no climate justice president and it's laughable to think so.

Now activists from Appalachians Against Pipelines have been going to the construction sites for the pipeline to take peaceful direct action to stop one day at a time the building of MVP. They are risking their safety, health and freedom to stop this pipeline.
