20230915 For the Future Oriented, Remember This too Shall Pass

I had a bad patch late in August, when my depression came slouching out of it's cave to remind me of its existence. This time because I was borrowing future troubles into the present.

I was feeling the absence from my boys' returns to school, even though we still (at the time) had two weeks of summer vacation left.

Age brings perspective, and I got to thinking about the Persian adage, "This too shall pass." I've been down this road before, and experience provided an important lesson.
