On Sunday, September 3, NASA astronauts Steve Bowen and Woody Hoburg, alongside UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, embarked on their journey back to Earth from the International Space Station. They initiated their return by sealing the hatch to the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Endeavour, and subsequently performing the undocking procedure. Following nearly 16 hours of transit, Bowen, Hoburg, Alneyadi, and Fedyaev successfully re-entered Earth's atmosphere, utilizing parachutes for a controlled splashdown off the coast of Florida on Monday, September 4. The crew of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 had spent approximately six months living and conducting research aboard the microgravity laboratory, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the testing of innovative technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions, thereby laying the groundwork for NASA’s Artemis program.
