It Couple: Joan Crawford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

Joan Crawford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr., two of Golden Hollywood's most enduring stars, were married in New York City in 1929. Divorcing in 1933, their marriage had highs and lows. Sharing a home they lovingly named El Dojo, spending afternoons at the beach and gradually breaking into Fairbanks' Jr.'s father's estate Fairbanks, the two seemed very well suited. However an abortion during the filming of Rain and a 1933 lawsuit against Fairbanks Jr. doomed this Hollywood marriage.
