This weeks #bookoftheweek is How to be a Dictator: The Cult of Personality in the Twentieth Century by Frank Dikötter. The accompanying cocktail is called Dictator, and I actually found this version on YouTube, since the one Google kicked back was an extremely pedestrian vodka cranberry.

1.5 oz Dark Rum
1 oz Bonal
3 dashes Boker's Bitters (or substitute Cardamom Bitters)
2 dashes coffee extract (I substituted double espresso vodka)

Put all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail glass.
