Mass Formation formed from 'consent' to 'the leader', consent due mainly to individual isolation, a longing to be part of a whole. I discuss some of Dr Mattias Dermett's proposals in his book "The Psychology of Totalitarianism". I add that the problem of isolation is a spiritual one of spiritual deafness and for over 250 years now in the West, having taking out the concept of the soul from what constitutes a human being, leaving him only with body and reason. The curse of the West: abandonment of God.
