Exploring albas falls: most beautiful waterfall in british columbia. Adventurers should include Albas Falls, a must-see destination, to their Shuswap bucket lists without a doubt. The falls are situated in a somewhat secluded area of the area between the charming British Columbian communities of St. Ives and Seymour Arm. It is located in the Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park off of Seymour Arm Forest Service Road. Visitors will be welcomed to a lush, green rainforest as they enter the park, which is sustained by the humid air produced by the extensive waterfall system.

A 5 km circular trip around the waterfalls allows hikers to enjoy excellent, unrestricted views of the various portions. A slip into the water would mean certain death, so great caution must be taken while hiking the falls because Albas Falls has sadly claimed lives in the past. The hike can be rather challenging in some places. That being said, the intensity of the water flow varies greatly throughout the year, and in the spring it is more intense before naturally mellowing down as we approach the dry summer months. At the base of the falls on Shuswap Lake, there is also a stunning seasonal white sand beach that develops as the water recedes.
