The Bee Gees is an Australian-British group, formed in 1958 in Brisbane (Queensland) in Australia by three of the Gibb brothers from Douglas (Isle of Man): Barry and the twins Robin and Maurice, initially associated with a guitarist (Vince Melouney ) and two Australian drummers (Colin Petersen and Geoff Brigford)1. The group's total record sales over their entire career are estimated at 220 million2, making them one of the biggest record sellers.
During its career, the group won nine Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. About forty of his songs were ranked on the charts around the world between 1965 and 2001, and seventeen of his compositions were number one on the American charts between 1971 and 1983.
