For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

God doesn't take pleasure in the destruction of the wicked, but eventually it has to be done. We have been warned for thousands of years and nature itself shows that the wicked will eventually be destroyed. We have no excuses.
