EC BOSS WARNS PARTICIPANTS AGAINST VIOLENCE AHEAD OF HOIMA LC 5 BI - ELECTION

Justice Simon Byabakama the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission has warned candidates and voters against causing violence in tomorrow’s Hoima district LC-V by-election.
This was said during the pre-polling stakeholders meeting held at Dwoli Primary school in Kitoba Sub County, Hoima district.
The electoral commission will conduct the Hoima district LC-V by-Election in order to replace the former chairperson Kadir Kirungi who died on March 17th this year in a motor accident on the Hoima-Kampala highway in Bukomero, Kiboga district.
Justice Byabakama says, the law mandates them to conduct a by-election within a period of six months after the death of a district chairperson.
He says, they want to conduct a peaceful by-election without anyone causing violence.
