Dr. Matthias Rath in 1998 wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association: “Throughout the twentieth century” ― now listen to this with regard to the natural health products in C47 going on right now.

“Throughout the twentieth century the pharmaceutical industry has been constructed by investors, the goal being to replace and outlaw effective but non-patentable natural remedies with mostly ineffective, but patentable and highly profitable pharmaceutical drugs. The very nature of the pharmaceutical industry is to make money from ongoing disease.”

That’s 25 years ago. None of this should have been a surprise. And in 2017, I was trying to find a more updated source than this, but in 2017 there was an article in the British Medical Journal that showed that 50% of editors of the world’s top medical journals were taking money from the pharmaceutical industry.

So, if we knew the pharmaceutical industry was shaping not only policy but also our response to disease and the treatment of disease, why do we have such a blind faith in them?
