Jon Hemstreet is an Oregon licensed Principal Broker with an extensive background when it comes to land and timber properties. Jon is passionate about educating and guiding his clients through the process of reaching their real estate goals. Jon has a natural passion when it comes to helping others buy, sell, or invest in woodland properties. Growing up in the building trade developing rural properties with his dad, who was a builder and developer for over 40 years. In 1979 Jon moved from Portland to his Sheridan family farm. At the age of 14 he began managing his family tree farm activities that included: logging, road building, applying for permits and cost share, planting, spraying, etc. In the past Jon has been the president and vice president of the Yamhill County Small Woodlands Association and was named Tree Farmer of the Year in 1984. In 1996, Jon wrote a book and produced a video on managing small woodland properties, and in 1998 he produced a video about the coastal redwoods called, Coastal Giants the Greatest Living Things on Earth. Outside of the office Jon enjoys hunting, fishing, and growing tomatoes. In 2017 Jon purchased a sawmill that he owns and runs with his family, Thomson Mill Specialty Lumber. This resurrected the original Thomson Mill name and helped Jon to create ties with the local historical societies. They also support the Tina Miller Center in Willamina with lumber and cash donations.
