Passing down Traditions, Values and Wisdom

Hi, My name is Jilly.

I had amazing Grandparents who tried to teach what they learned and what was important to them. I don't remember much of it anymore. How I wish I had paid more attention as a child. They shared
Stories of the depression, how they farmed and canned and made do. Gardening tips, money management, politics, recipes, church, the list is endless.

My daughter and granddaughters probably won't remember what I say either, so I made this channel to document the wisdom of generations past that is being overwhelmed by our modern society.

Talking is how we keep our traditions alive, and to keep realty from succumbing to the media domination of asking others for help, rather than having a sense of self sufficiency and community.

Everyone should be more givers to the community than takers from the community. How can I be more self reliant so others can rely on me more? If everyone works together, we will have a much better community for it.

I will be talking about anything that catches my fancy, and boy is there tons to talk about right now!
