Yip Fest - Close Approach & Flanking Coyotes Challenge Perimeter

Holy hell, if this was the city I'd bet they were next door. Which they WERE for all intents and purposes. Same night as the bugling elk, located about 500 yards behind this POV across Coal Creek. Not clear to me in audio direction-wise, but final swing to RIGHT for what sounded as an individual just past the barn, flanking the compound.
Nothing really atypical except unusual close proximity this night. Audible, that is. Tracks assert they come right through compound at times. Tons of rabbits. Pheasants, too. Perhaps why Phineas has vanished.
In time here, have seen one pack is across creek, fields and road in the sloping uplands of the canyons to the West, another one on this side. Heard/seen both at same time. As far as the elk this night, the bull began bugling again near 0100, about an hour after the canine serenade. Unsure of relevance but noting same night, same area.
