How a Roots supercharger works

What's the right way to supercharge our Duramax diesel-powered monster truck engine? In this clip from our "Building a Monster Truck Engine" series, Gale details the internal workings of a few Roots-type superchargers. After extensive testing, we eventually swapped the Roots type blower for a 5-liter Whipple screw-type supercharger to pair with two 68/70 Precision turbos.
