France continues to suffer from severe weather.
On September 12, severe thunderstorms hit the Pyrénées-Orientales department.
The department has been placed on yellow alert by Météo France.
A month's worth of rain fell in a few hours across the entire southern arc of the Perpignan agglomeration.
Up to 100 mm of precipitation was recorded.
Some streets turned into rivers.
Wind gusts of up to 118 km/h were recorded in Thuir.
Spectacular hail was also observed.
Hail the size of golf balls was reported in Canohès.
This could have serious consequences for vineyards where the harvest has not yet been harvested.
Fire crews responded to about a hundred weather-related calls.
