2 Thessalonians 03 Thanksgiving, Encouragement, and Prayer

I'm sending you tonights handout and last weeks handout. I'm sending last weeks because I didn't ever send it out! Anyway, now you should have all the handouts for 2 Thessalonians. The KEY WORD is Day of the LORD. Okay, KEY WORDS! At any rate, this is am important doctrine, but tonight Paul will focus on encouraging the Thessalonians who were suffering at the hands of unbelievers who were persecuting them. Paul thanks God for their progress. He encourages them in the midst of persecution by describing God's ultimate justice, and he prays for their worthiness to receive reward to be used in the kingdom.

These are all great truths that attend 2 Thessalonians 1, which I've titled Situation since it describes their current situation. We could suffer persecution too, so this chapter is applicable to any persecution we or other Christians might suffer.
