'With that minimal training we were useless in a fight' Ukrainian POW

The following statement accompanied this video on the Russian MOD Telegram channel:
"Captured AFU serviceman advices Ukrainian servicemen to lay down their arms and go home

Serviceman of the 39th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Territorial Defence of the AFU Ruslan Polesovshchikov was taken prisoner by Russian reconnaissance units.

▫️ The captured AFU soldier said that he was mobilised under the threat of a criminal case. During the training, the serviceman managed to acquire only minimal skills in handling an automatic rifle.

▫️ 'We were prepared for the defence, but in the end we were sent to the assault,' said the prisoner. This decision was taken by the AFU command because of heavy losses in the assault units.

▫️ On the morale in the ranks of the AFU, the captured fighter added: 'We have been standing still for nine months. We were attacked, but we didn't have any heavy equipment.'"
