A Monastery in the Beyond

Volume 1 – Chapters 62, 63 & 64

Chapter 62 – Visit to the Carmelites

1. You ask: Will we be allowed in? For if it is with this community as it is on earth, then we shall not gain much experience here. Dear friends and brothers, it is the same here as it is on earth, but we will not be deterred by this, for in this case we are like parasitic flies, and nothing will stop us from sticking our noses into the deepest of secrets. We shall do so here as well: We will sneak into the monastery and sniff out all kinds of things. Just come along and do not worry about a thing.

2. We shall stay invisible to these beings for a long while. For you must know that the angelic spirits, whether they are from the third heaven itself or whether they compare with those of the third heaven, stay invisible to the spirits of the lower heavens, until those spirits have taken into themselves the essence of the love unto the Lord; firstly only regarding insight and then the deeds out of love. That is why we may enter the monastery without anybody seeing us. They would not see me because I am a citizen of the holy city, and they would not see you because you are in my sphere, with the ordination of the will of the highest heaven, which is the will of the Lord.

3. Behold, we are already in the refectory, or in other words, the dining hall. Bowls with so-called “nourishment of greatest fasting” are brought in. The food is set on the tables and the sisters enter. Are they not clothed exactly as on earth? You say: We never had the opportunity to see such monastic sisters from up close, but back on earth we had seen them clothed exactly like this on images and paintings.

4. Now look, they are starting the mealtime prayer. What does it consist of? As you can clearly hear, it consists of a full rosary, some Latin expressions from the psalms and the church fathers, which are not understood by any of these sisters. Take a look, the matron is sitting down at the table. The others kneel down before her, and then they get up and stand beside their respective chairs. The matron gives the sign that they may sit down. Look there, she has with her a little bell which she rings, indicating to the sisters that they may join in.

5. You see someone else standing over there. She is not allowed to eat for now, instead she must read the Passion of the Lord to the others. The sisters have finished their meal and the matron again rings her bell. This indicates that they all must get up. They get up, they once again bow down to the floor before the matron, but then they kneel. The thanksgiving prayer is being recited, which again consists of a full rosary, followed by a hundred silent Ave Maria’s. These are prayed for about a full three-quarters of an hour, then the Latin prayers are recited again. When they are finished with all this, they go to the crucifix and lay down before it on the floor; they then go to the image of Mary and do the same; then to the image of Joseph, again doing the same; then to the image of the foundress Theresia to do the same again, and then they go to the matron, the current “incarnation” of Theresia, and do the same again.

6. Now the matron has them all get up, and she announces that they must ready themselves for the choir prayer starting in an hour. In the meantime, they must go to their assigned cells and read through their choir prayers, so the upcoming choir session may proceed without disturbances, which, otherwise, would lead to a small annoyance, and therefore, a venial sin. For, the matron adds, even the most righteous person sins before God at least seven times a day; how much more careful he must be to not sin eight times or even more.

7. One of the sisters now asks the matron for permission to talk with her about something, and since there is no prescribed silence at the moment, the matron allows her to speak (To ask something in a monastery means to speak frankly). What will this sister ask the matron? We shall listen closely to this conversation: Highly honored bride of Christ, for as long as we had lived physically upon the earth, this strict and monastic life was bearable, for it was required in order to earn heaven after death. Since, for some time already, we have exchanged the earthly life for the heavenly one, and still we are living an exceptionally strict life in this “eternal life”, without the true heaven in sight at all, the question is whether this monastic life will ever come to an end or not. It would be truly terrible to stay in this strict conclave forever.

8. The matron says: Oh, you disobedient child! How could you let yourself be taken captive by the devil like this, that you would allow yourself to ask such a terrible question? Do you not know that no one can enter heaven before the day of judgment, and that, by the intercession of the holy virgin Mary, the holy Theresia, and between them, the holy Joseph, Christ the Lord has exempted our order from purgatory, for He is the strictest of them all; He has granted us the mercy to fully purify ourselves from our venial sins, as well as the sins unto death we have committed upon the earth, even after our physical death, all so we may satisfy His most holy justice here. The rules of our exalted foundress’ order must therefore be adhered to as strictly as possible. Otherwise it might happen that a disobedient child, such as yourself, must receive the following sentence on the day of judgment, standing before the most relentless, strict and just Judge: Leave Me, you accursed one, for I have never known you as My sister!

9. Now look, these words of the matron have struck our poor enquirer like a thousand bolts of lightning, all at once. She falls down before her, pleading with her for an appropriate chastisement, upon which the matron says: Yes, you have certainly earned an appropriate chastisement, but this time I shall only reprimand you with a light slap to the face, as well as a day of fasting. However, do not tarry in immediately calling upon a confessor, so you may make the devilish and highly abominable things you have spoken to Me known to him, in detail and with much repentance. Then you shall fulfill the penitence he will lay upon you, for the honor of the holy trinity, the honor of the five wounds of Jesus Christ, the honor of His bitter passion and death, the honor of His most holy virgin and mother Mary, the honor of the holy Joseph, and for the honor of the holy Theresia, ten times. Now get up and receive my slap to your face.

10. Behold, our sister gets up, humbly turns her cheek to the matron and, as you can see, receives not a light, but a full-blown, almost dizzying slap, to drive out the devil. Our sister begins to weep bitterly, thanks the matron for this chastisement and retreats with the other sisters from the refectory to her cell. Whatever happens after this, we shall see next time!

Chapter 63 – The confessing nun and the true confessor

1. As our sister arrives in her cell, she gives the porter a sign to come to her cell by ringing a bell. What will she tell her? This is merely about calling a confessor, so she may purify herself from the sin she committed against the matron before the choir prayer. The porter immediately sets up a meeting and our sister goes to the confession booth, kneels before the grating and waits for the confessor to arrive. We shall go there too and listen to this confession for a bit. We know what she must confess, but how the confessor will answer her, we do not yet know, but we wish to hear it.

2. The confessor arrives, sits down and puts his ear to the grating. She confesses, and he says to her: Listen, my dear confessant, as far as the rules of your order, as it exists on earth, are concerned, you have clearly sinned against them, but not against God’s order, for it was that very order which made you think these things in the first place; things which the order of this monastery prohibits you from thinking. For your transgression against the order of this monastery you have received the appropriate chastisement, and then you have continued to subject yourself to the matron’s commands, up until this very moment. This right here, however, is about the forgiveness of your sins from God’s side of things. God has never made monastic orders such as this actual law with His words. Human ordinances, even if they had been in use for thousands of years, were never ratified by God. He does not keep watch to see if someone, in a certain sense, transgressed worldly ordinances out of necessity. This is why there is nothing for me to forgive you from God’s side.

3. Our sister speaks to the confessor: Most honorable priest, you who sit before me upon the chair of divine justice, how could you say that our monastic order and its rules are not a divine, but merely a human institution? Look, if I were to mention this to our matron, we would both be in danger of severe punishment. I will be treated as if I am possessed by the devil, and you will be excommunicated as a true heretic, or even be anathematized. Do explain to me more clearly what it is you wish to tell me.

4. The confessor says: Listen, my dear sister, whoever loves Christ the Lord as the only true God of heaven and earth above all, is neither afraid of excommunication nor of an anathema. You see, the people on earth, clinging to worldly things and knowing very little or nothing at all about Christ, are currently laughing at such ecclesiastical high-handedness. Why is it that they laugh? Because they do not see how any damage could be done to their careers by such high-handedness. Why should those who truly love Christ not laugh? They have incurred even less damage from this high-handedness.

5. Have you never heard of what Christ once said to the adulteress in the temple, when the Pharisees brought her before Him because, according to the law of Moses, she should have been stoned?

6. Our confessant says: I know it well, but what do you want to tell me with this?

7. The confessor continues: All I want to tell you with this is that Christ is much more lenient in His judgment than the priests and scribes. They had condemned the adulteress without any mercy, compassion or hesitation, to public stoning; but Christ told them: “Whoever of you is without sin, may he cast the first stone upon her!”

8. You see, with such a statement the Pharisees and scribes had been struck as if with lightning, for there exists yet another law, according to which the highest priesthood must be free of sin. The Pharisees and scribes absolutely know of this law, as well as the one about adulterous women, but they also know that they themselves have committed adultery in every respect, both physically and spiritually. That is why they were so frightened by this exceptionally piercing answer, and all of them, without exception, completely forgot about our adulteress and quickly excused themselves. This time around they did not wish to irritate Christ any more than they already had, for they feared that He would make their disgrace known to all the faithful Jews, who would have taken hold of and treated them as the law of Moses expressly prescribed for such cases. But what happened to our adulteress? She now stood there all alone. Has the Lord condemned her? Oh no; He asks her: Have those who brought you here not condemned you? Our adulteress says: Oh no, Lord, no one has condemned me. And He said to her: “So I will not condemn you either; go and sin no more!” Now, what do you say about the Lord’s course of action here?

9. Our sister says: I cannot possibly say anything other than that the Lord truly is more compassionate and merciful that all good people on earth combined. The confessor says: Good, my dear sister, if you see the Lord thus, then you shall understand that my advice is completely valid! If the Lord’s mercy, in the case of the adulteress, did not adhere to the law of Moses, even though it originated from Him, how much less would He then adhere to any monastic rule. For you see, the Lord is completely free and can do whatever He wishes. If anyone should ask Him: Lord, what is it that you are doing? He shall give him no answer. I, as the confessor, was sent to you in His Name, and therefore I carry His Name as well. If I act according to this Name, tell me, who do I have to fear?

10. You say: Certainly not the Lord, for you have acted thoroughly in His Name! So, if I do not have to fear Him, should I then fear your monastery or the ecclesiastical authority? You see, that is by no means the case; and therefore, I tell you, if you possess a true love for the Lord, then you shall dare something out of this love; you shall now go to your matron and tell her exactly what I have told you. After that, tell her to come back here with you immediately.

11. Our sister asks what she should do as a penance for her transgression.

12. The confessor says: Nothing other than what I have just told you.

13. Our sister gets up, however, since the matron is starting to get suspicious because of the sister’s contiually increasing absence, she comes to meet her on the threshold of the little confession booth, where our sister tells her what the confessor has said. The matron nearly falls over backwards in response and proceeds to say to our sister: Behold what sin you have committed! The mercy of God has left you completely; a devil has impersonated an angel of light and has taken possession of the confession chair in the form of a confessor, all to give you this cursed teaching. He also wishes me to speak with him, so the whole monastery might be pulled down into eternal damnation because I am the soul of this monastery. Yes, in a way I saw this coming, that, at some point, you would plunge this holy house of God into misfortune. No, we have no other recourse but to mightily unite and present this great adversity of ours to the most blessed virgin Mary, to the holy Joseph, and to the holy Theresia. If these should not answer us, we will be lost, for then God will have no mercy and no compassion here!

14. Our sister speaks to the dignified woman: Highly honorable mother, you can say whatever you want, but after having received the lesson of this most worthy confessor, I have no more faith in your words and would much rather die, if it were possible, than to allow even the slightest doubt to take root within myself, in regards to the teaching of this worthy confessor.

15. Upon hearing this, the dignified matron wishes to give our sister a slap on her mouth out of pure monastic zeal. But our confessor is bold; he tears through the confession grating, for which he has sufficient power, and saves our sister from such maltreatment. Whatever will happen after this, we shall see next time.

Chapter 64 – Rescue of the poor captives and the day of judgment.

1. As the matron sees this happening, immediately she makes one cross-sign after another, runs to a nearby basin containing holy water and zealously sprinkles it at the confessor and our sister. She fervently calls out to the sisters for help, and they promptly arrive, staring at the confessor, but they could not see anything devilish in him. The matron makes a large cross-sign before her, closes in on the confessor and the sister, wishing to forcefully seize them, and exclaims with a loud and shrill voice: You disgustingly hellish devil, you who have the cursed audacity to sneak into this sanctuary with lies and deceit, and in the form of an angel of light: I command you, in the name of the holy trinity, the most blessed virgin Mary, the holy Joseph and the holy Theresia, to leave this place immediately and return to your eternal damnation and hellish fire, to burn there for eternity!

2. And now behold, our confessor is not in the least bewildered by this terrible and exorcistic banishment curse, and he says: Heed this, you blind matron of this poor flock: You call me a devil and, on top of that, you have condemned me quite harshly; but tell me, what have I, your alleged devil, done to you and to this sister?

3. Matron, I have merely told this sister the full truth, completely valid as it is here in the kingdom of spirits, and I have called you here through her to further educate you in the divine truth. However, instead of listening to me, you instantly took hold of the flaming sword of judgment, so you might, if it were possible, kill this poor sister with a single blow, or even hand her over to hell.

4. I, as your devil, had mercy on this poor sister, and I rescued her from the might of your wrath; for that, however, you have condemned me to a hellish banishment.

5. If we were to compare our hearts, you and I, there would arise a great and important question to be answered: In which heart would more true brotherly love be found; in yours, which wants to belong to heaven, or in mine, which is supposedly devilish?

6. I tell you: Your rule over this poor and blind flock has come to an end. Theresia has indeed founded this order on earth, but in her time, true brotherly love was its foundation, and the most important of its monastic rules was the work of love and the essential purity of the heart. Under such circumstances this order did have the Lord’s approval; but your order, combined with the strictest rules and the many, mostly incomprehensible lip prayers, is an abomination to the Lord, and in no way acceptable to Him, especially now that your tyrannical and despotic lust for power, together with blind delusion, has crept into this place!

7. Back on earth, have you ever heard that there still exist monasteries and other monastic institutions in the spiritual realm? As far as I know, you have believed that, after the death of your body, your soul would either enter a sweet and deep sleep until the last judgment, or you would go to paradise, maybe even straight to heaven. However, if you have indeed believed this, without a shadow of a doubt, then how has this monastery come to be?

8. Behold, you are dumbfounded by this question of mine, and you do not know how to answer. This poor sister has posed the same question to you, matron. Since you were unable to give her an answer, as much as you were unable to give me one as well, you flared up with fierce wrath and gave the enquirer a dizzying slap to the face.

9. But now I tell you where this monastery comes from. It originates from your domineering character; with it, together with lies, deceit and your blind delusion, you have created for yourself and these poor sisters this institution here in the spiritual world. Therefore, this conclave is nothing but an illusionary Institution, and in no way is it pleasant to God the Lord. I have the power, even though I must appear to you as a true Beelzebub, to put an end to this institution, setting all these poor sisters free in the process. You, however, I have to leave here in this place until you would allow yourself to grow deeply remorseful, becoming aware of your spiritual error and realizing that an institution such as this is neither something good, nor does it contain any truth whatsoever.

10. So that you and all these poor sisters may come to realize that I have the power to do so, and that I have not received this power from Beelzebub, who you, matron, have sprinkled with your holy water, but that I have received it directly from God, I now make it known that this sister whom I have rescued, is none other than Theresia herself, sent by me to you, to set you free from your delusion. Next, I reveal to you that I Myself am the One who is so dearly beloved by Theresia! If you do not believe Me, lay your hands upon My scars, just like Thomas did!

11. Now behold, you, matron of this monastery, in your great blindness, have condemned Me. I possess the power to condemn you as well, but in order to show you that I am superior to your order, I shall not condemn you; instead, I shall instruct you and show you the way to Me. You cannot follow Me yet, for only after you have torn down your illusionary monastery may you do so.

12. Look at this, all the sisters now fall down onto their knees before the Lord, praising Him for His great love and mercy and pleading with Him for mercy towards their matron. The Lord says: May it be as you have asked! However, the matron still possesses her free will, and she shall continue to possess it for eternity. If she so wishes to tear down this monastery, she may come with you. However, if she wishes to keep it, I shall not take it from her, that is until after she willingly surrenders it to Me.

13. Look, the matron stands petrified before the group of sisters and does not know what she should do next, for she still sees the scene unfolding before her as a peculiar trick of the devil. The Lord says to her: What is it you are thinking? Was it not a tenet of yours that Satan would flee before the name of Jesus Christ, and that every knee would bow before this Name, in heaven, on earth, and even beneath it? So, if Satan has such an intense fear of the Name of Jesus, would he himself ever speak it then, or would he adobt the Lord’s shape? Behold the severity of your delusion! You are not yet ripe to receive the pure light, and you shall not be ripe for as long as you refuse to destroy every last stone of this monastery within yourself.

14. However, I tell you this: You have only to turn to Me if you ever wish to be freed from this your conclave.

15. You will wait for your “day of judgment” in vain, for it is always taking place, continuously, for everybody. For the loving and righteous ones, it is a day of resurrection unto eternal life; the complete rebirth of the spirit. But for those who do not accept Me in spirit and in truth, and do not wish to embrace Me with all love, for them it is a true day of judgment.

16. Now you know where you stand; adjust yourself accordingly, that is how you will reach your day of judgment towards eternal life; otherwise, the sun illuminating this day will not rise for you, not for eternities!

17. The Lord now turns to the sisters, telling them to follow Him. As you can see in the spirit, the matron finally lowers herself desperately before the Lord and pleads with Him to not leave her behind, now that she has recognized Him. The Lord says to her: Behold, here is My beloved sister Theresia; I want her to stay with you and assist you in tearing down your monastery. Theresia proceeds to help the matron onto her feet and shows her the true way to the Lord.

18. The Lord takes to the road with His innocent lambs, towards the eternal dawn! It will not take long for the Lord’s kind disciple to free her still blind sister from her conclave. However, she will not be brought into the dawn just yet, but into the midday, the second heaven.

19. You have now seen yet another kind of rescue from an erroneous spiritual place of bliss, which was, quite frankly, one of the better ones. There are still many others, though, where things are much more difficult. Next time we shall have a look at a similar situation, a male monastery. Once again it will be one of the strictest, and you shall see what kinds of troubles life there is riddled with, where a veritable flood of false principles has utterly suffocated the seed of life.

20. So, with all this in mind: May no one bind himself to anything; may the love for the Lord and one’s neighbor be his sole guiding principle. For you see, love is the good soil wherein the seed of life will thrive best; but if tares were sown first, the good seed will have difficulties growing. We shall see this clearly in the following example. With this, enough for today!
