Mortal Kombat 1 Fatalities

Mortal Kombat 1 introduced the concept of Fatalities, finishing moves that could be performed on defeated opponents. Each character has their own unique Fatality, which is performed by inputting a specific sequence of buttons and directions.

Johnny Cage: Head Rip: Cage grabs his opponent's head and rips it clean off their body.
Sonya Blade: Neck Snap: Blade grabs her opponent's head and twists it 180 degrees, snapping their neck.
Liu Kang: Split Fatality: Kang kicks his opponent in the stomach, knocking them to the ground. He then does a flying kick that splits their head in half.
Raiden: Lightning Storm: Raiden teleports his opponent into the sky and then blasts them with lightning, causing them to explode.
Scorpion: Netherrealm Portal: Scorpion grabs his opponent and pulls them into a portal to the Netherrealm, where they are burned alive.
Sub-Zero: Ice Shatter: Sub-Zero freezes his opponent solid and then shatters them into pieces.
Reptile: Poison Bite: Reptile bites his opponent's neck and injects them with a poisonous venom. The opponent then melts into a puddle of goo.
Shang Tsung: Soul Steal: Shang Tsung absorbs his opponent's soul, causing their body to crumble to dust.
Kano: Heart Rip: Kano rips out his opponent's heart and holds it up for the camera.
