The speed of the official response to Friday’s earthquake in Morocco has been criticised.
The disaster is now known to have killed more than 2,800 people and in many areas villagers have themselves been digging through the rubble of collapsed homes
Heavy lifting equipment has begun to arrive in the remote regions of the Atlas Mountains which were the hardest hit.
The Moroccan government says it responded rapidly and its military was deployed on Friday and into Saturday.
But the authorities have only accepted emergency aid from four countries.
