◾Since the mid 90s when he was Mayor of st. Peterborough Putin helped American business to come to Russia, became a "friend" of Henry Kissinger, once he became the President of Russia he tried to Join NATO and the European Union, he was both times rejected.

◾ Nevertheless after 9/11 Russia showed full support for the US, even welcome them to send troops to Nations bordering Russia, all in the name of the "war on terror".

◾But the West kept undermining Russia, undermining it's economy, it's international relations, expanding NATO towards Russian borders, until in 2007 Putin said enough is enough.
