Psalm 2:7-12 - Kiss the Son, A Divine Decree

LYRICS inspired by last part of Psalm 2.
Awake, O morning, tell the tale,
Of a decree so divine,
"Thou art my Son," the voice prevailed,
"This day, I call you mine."
Whispers of kingdoms far and wide,
Bowing before the throne,
Heir to nations, side by side,
The earth is His to own.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angered,
Blessed are those in refuge found,
Lay down pride, lift up surrender,
For His grace and love abound.

Kings and rulers, hear the call,
Be wise and heed the plea,
Serve with reverence, stand in awe,
And truth will set you free.
The storm is near, His wrath will rise,
But love remains the guide,
Embrace His ways, see with new eyes,
In Him, our hearts confide.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angered,
Blessed are those in refuge found,
Lay down pride, lift up surrender,
For His grace and love abound.

The winds may howl, the mountains shake,
But in His shadow, we won't break,
The anchor for our souls so deep,
In Him, our promises He'll keep.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angered,
Blessed are those in refuge found,
Lay down pride, lift up surrender,
For His grace and love abound.

So, come all souls, hear the decree,
Of love that's never-ending,
Rest in His embrace, forever free,
For His mercy's never-bending.
