Sword Training Episode 1: Spiritual Warfare

On 2-2-2002 God sent my cousin to pick me up at a street corner in the middle of Detroit. I would regularly party at a home owned by a group of drug dealing murderers. One of them admitted it to me in a crying fit of drunken self harming rage. I had been done wrong by my former "friends", betrayed, beaten, abused and was ready for the end. I had no hope, no peace, no future. I did not grow up in a church. I went one time as a kid. I learned proper exegesis from a few of my first church friends that went to Bible college. There was a long pause in my church attendance
I can tell you that God keeps His promises. He kept this one with me. Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”. Properly exegeted scripture can heal the heart, protect the soul and inspire justice. We have all we need in the word. And Jesus is the word in the flesh. Follow Jesus!
