Loyalty Versus Betrayal | وَفَا بَنَام دَغَا

There are many kinds of friendship and many kinds of loving relationship, and not all involve loyalty and not all involve the possibility of betrayal. You might have a relationship that does not require loyalty in the sense of being on each other’s side – potentially against others. One sort of friendship might not be threatened by one party being incapable of keeping a secret. An open love affair might involve no commitment to excluding sexual intimacy with everyone else. But, realistically, many friendships, marriages, and loving partnerships, are essentially loyal relationships in the sense that they do require excluding others in some respect.
