On the hit show Shark Tank we see the successes of companies that the Sharks have invested in, but what about the companies that they don’t give money to? Jared Cotter found some businesses that may have lost on the show, but still managed to win in real life.

The first one on the list are husband and wife Daniel and Stephanie Rensing of The Smart Baker. They hit the tank to pitch their line of baking accessories, like the cheat sheet apron and three tier cupcake stands. They actually won in the tank but later fell through, but The Smart Baker proved to be a tough cookie as they persisted and now their products are being sold at Michaels craft stores all over the US.

When Xero Shoes CEO Steven Sashen told the sharks that today’s footwear gets you off on the wrong foot, they didn’t buy it. That might stop the average person dead in their tracks, but not this guy. After the episode aired, thousands of orders poured in for these shoes, bringing them over the $7 million mark.

The third product was matchmaking app Coffee Meets Bagel, created by Arum and Dawoon Kang. The app could set guys up with up to 21 matches per day, but the judges didn’t like this idea at first, until Shark Mark Cuban changed his mind and made the biggest offer in shark tank history! According to Forbes Coffee Meets Bagel raised more than $11.2 million.
