Johnson County issues disaster declaration after storms and flooding

The Board of County Commission Chairman Ed Eilert signed a declaration of a state of local disaster emergency for Johnson County after two damaging storms. The heavy rain and raging flood waters caused significant damage to public facilities, especially in the Leawood area.
