Hundreds of runners will leave colon cancer behind at the Boxer 500, a run/walk hosted by the Great Plains Colon Cancer Task Force to fight colorectal cancer at Werner Park on Sunday, August 20. Of cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States and the third most common cancer in men and women, according to the CDC.
