Escaped Convict Slips Police Dragnet Using Tunnels

Danelo Cavalcante, an escaped convict from Pennsylvania, was able to evade police roadblocks and a massive manhunt by utilizing a network of underground tunnels and ditches. After coming up at a dairy farm just outside the search perimeter, Cavalcante stole a van and drove off. Police believe the extensive tunnel system allowed him to slip through the tight dragnet.
