A cat absolutely knows it's name. Here is proof. My main rescue cat Louie was sleeping on my desk next to me. And I said his name, and noticed his tail wagged when he was TOTALLY asleep. So I said it again, and he wagged his tail again. So I got my phone and this was what I managed to capture. Not quite as magical as the original moment but adorable and hilarious nonetheless.
