Did you know that dandelions are extremely nutritious and highly medicinal? In this part, we're going to cover the nutritional value and lightly touch on some benefits. And if you want to see part two you have to let me know in the comments below. All right so here we go-
Dandelions are extremely nutrient dense, and the entire plant is edible Leaf, root Flower and all. Just the leaves can be eaten cooked or raw and have high amounts of Vitamins A, B-Complex, D, E, and K. They also have Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium and so many more.
The Roots can also be eaten cooked or raw and they have all the same nutrients and also contain a compound called inulin which the body absorbs just like insulin. Pretty neat, huh?
